About El Campello
El Campellois a quaint little fishingVillagejust up the coast from Alicante, and has grownin a big way over the last few yearssince I havebeenliving in El Campello. So manynew apartmentsblockshavebeenbuilton the back of what were the golden yours for property developers in this region, but you can now see manyapartmentsthat havenot beensold throughoutEl Campello.
Living in El Campellofor me has beena realblessing, and I must say for anybodywho wants to live withouta car, El Campellois ideal. Thereare supermarketsdottedthroughoutthe village, there are primary and secondary schools,a healthcentreand the Tramstops rightin the centreof El Campello, whichwillget you to Alicante within 15 minutes.
Thereare alsoa variety of restaurantsin El Campellofrom Indian, Chinese, Kebaband there are alsoa coupleof excellent tapas bars. Beware of the restaurantsdown by the Campellobeachwhichare often over priced, and poor quality. I would alwaysrecommenda restaurant and "Ximos"for tapas, whichis located just aboveMercadonna in the San Bartolomeroad. Thebeachin El Campellois alwayspackedwith tourists;in the Summer months, so you need to get up earlyto reserve a good spotby the shoreline. Thereare alsoa coupleof Englishbars/restaurantson the sea front of El Campello, whichofferEnglishstyle food and at quite reasonable prices.
The latestaddition to El Campellois the central park, whichis idealfor young children. Beware dog owners, as you won’t be made to feel welcomein El Campello, but I never said El Campellowas perfect.Thereis a restaurant in the park, but you willneed to brushup on some basicSpanish,as not manypeople speakEnglishhere. ElCampellois set to becomea buddingtouristtown in the future, but they still havea long way to go when it comes to basiccustomerservicein the local businesses.Evenso, it is an idealholiday location, and you can really;havea enjoyablestay here in El Campellothroughoutthe whileyear, due to the almost perfectall year roundclimate.
