Lapland,Lapland holidays

The answer to that question is yes and no, depending on how you organise and want your trip to Lapland to be, will depend on the experience you will have. A hotel stay will usually be a package holiday where you will get all of the food, accommodation and activities organised for you. The advantage of this is that you will simply have to turn up at the airport and follow your travel instructions. The downside to this would probably be the cost, because you are travelling on a package deal, the prices will naturally be more expensive.  A package holiday would normally include activities most days and your holiday would be more structured in terms of what you were doing and when.  You would probably find that you would spend large proportions of the holiday outside of the hotel, only returning for meals and sleep. The second choice and one which is becoming more popular is organising your own trip and all that goes with it. In this case you would probably stay in one of Lapland’s Log Cabins. When you book your log cabin transfers to and from the airport are included and once you land at the airport a transfer would be waiting to take you safely to your log cabin. Activities again would be booked yourself, normally over the internet before you leave, this gives you the chance to have more flexibility in the activities that are right for you. You will normally find that the log cabin deals have other extras included, such as free hire of cross country ski equipment and kick sleds for the children. Once you arrive in Lapland there will be a designated centre that looks after your cabin and also looks after you. If you have any queries you will know where to go and you can book additional activities whilst you are there if anything takes your fancy. Yllas Lapland is a small resort and has an abundance of activity centres for you to choose from. The holiday would be self catering and there are plenty of really good restaurants to choose from. There is also a huge superstore where everything you could ever need is in great supply and luckily is within easy walking distance of the cabins. The other good thing about booking your own holiday is the cost, you will find the cost would be much cheaper and flights are easily available from about October onwards for winter Lapland holidays. Staying in one of the Lapland Log cabins is also a magical experience and you will want to save some time to sit back and relax in front of the roaring log fire whilst you watch the snow softly falling outside.  Whatever you decide and whichever way you book your holiday, you are guaranteed to have the time of your life in this very peaceful magical place called Lapland.
